New Historical Fiction Film Recreates 2004 Nimitz UFO Encounter

CGI Animation Brings The Incident To Life

A newly released “historical fiction” film showcasing the 2004 encounter between US Navy pilots and a possible alien UFO is fast becoming popular with almost 1 million views on YouTube in under three weeks! The short film utilizes eyewitness accounts and CGI animation of the aircraft involved. to fully recreate the incident.

The filmmaker, David C. Beatty, used a 3-D animation environment to create CGI animated planes replicating the exact aircraft such as F/A-18 Super Hornets which were involved in the UFO encounter that occurred off the coast of Northwest Mexico south of the United States border.

Commander Dave Fravor Speaks Out

One of four US Navy pilots involved in the 2004 Nimitz UFO incident was Cmdr. Dave Fravor, now a civilian. Commander Fravor has been the most outspoken veteran about the past incident, even doing interviews on national news outlets.

Here’s video of the Commander’s eyewitness testimony about the UFO sighting during an appearance on Fox News:

Identifying The Other F/A-18 Pilot

Two pilots voluntarily went public about the 2004 UFO incident, Cmdr. Fravor and Cmdr. Jim Slaight. Fravor was piloting one of the Super Hornets while Slaight was co-pilot in a second F/A-18 on scene. David Beatty was able to identify the pilot of Slaight’s F/A-18 as a woman, but Cmdr. Fravor told Beatty she did not want to be identified.

Film Identified As “Historical Fiction”

In a statement released on Facebook written by the film’s creator, David C. Beatty, the following was stated:

I’m very excited to release The Nimitz Encounters as a work of historical fiction. The fiction part because I was not there to hear the conversations or actions of the fighter pilots, controllers and weapons system officers. I can only imagine that. So that part is a work of fiction that helps tell the story through recreations based on actual accounts of the first hand witnesses including the USS Princeton’s Senior Chief Kevin Day and Petty Officer Gary Voorhis from CIC. They were invaluable in providing me with guidance on the events and proper radio brevity – meaning trying to be somewhat accurate without making the radio calls an unknown language with terms not familiar to most people.

Beatty also described the moment he was inspired to create the film:

Back in 2017 when I first heard about the Superhornets intercepting UFO’s on both the USS Nimitz in 2004 and again in 2015 on another aircraft carrier I was fascinated.

The female pilot’s name was accidentally leaked by an individual involved in the release of the this information. Beatty says that he’ll edit in the pilot’s name if she decides to come forward.
