Our team, Tim & Tracey, hike a mountain at Edwards Air Force Base in California hoping to have a look at the unmanned aerial portion of the facility. But while at the peak of the mountain they get a shock when a mystery object shaped like an "X" floats right over their heads and right over Edwards Air Force Base.
The exact area of the base is the east side also known as the Rocket Site or the AFRL (Air Force Research Laboratory) section of the base. It's also where unmanned aerial drones from General Atomics practice targeting. Some x-plane propulsion research is done at this location just at the red water tower.
What did they catch? Was it a DARPA project or an AFRL project? How was the object able to descend at their exact location heading northeast then rise again towards the main facility of the base heading directly west into a crosswind?
